About

Talia Eylon, video editor, media artist and graphic designer, has a MFA in Documentary Media and a BFA in Images Arts from X University (formerly Ryerson University), Toronto, Canada.

Her video editing practice has developed through various roles (editor, assistant editor, digital imaging technician/data wrangler, and researcher) on scripted and non-scripted independent projects, including Hit Like a Woman, !Toronto, Toronto Hides Itself, and Cockblock

She has over a decade of experience in design, communications and marketing having worked at York University, and the City of Richmond Hill.

She has served as the co-chair of both the DocNow Documentary Festival and the Maximum Exposure Festival.

As a media artist, she participated nationally in exhibitions including Contact Photography Festival, The BIG Idea, and Nuit Blanche.

Her MFA thesis, no maybe yes, is a multi-channel video installation comprised of eight short video chapters of appropriated footage from mainstream dramatic media dealing with the portrayal of consent. It has been presented in long con magazine, the IASC Conference, and Open Show.
